A Lot Has Changed...

A lot sure has changed since my last update. In October, I made the move from Chicago to Los Angeles.

Even though I'm now based in LA, back in Chicago, I was lucky enough to have my screenplay Departing Seniors selected to be a part of SAG-AFTRA Chicago & IFP's 'At The Table' reading series. On October 29th, an amazing cast of Chicago actors came together, directed by the talented Alejandro Tey, to perform the reading and I was lucky enough to listen in from out in California.

Otherwise, the adjustment has been going well. I'm lucky enough to maintain my representation with the amazing people at Gray Talent Group and have enjoyed getting to know the LA office better. I've been able to hit the ground running on the audition front and have a couple of really exciting developments on the writing side of things as well.

Finally, over the course of the last couple of months, I've been working with my editors at Ninestar Press on the manuscript of "Testament." I'm excited to say, that after some minor delays with the projected timeline, we've got a release date and the cover art for my debut novel, the details of which I'm excited to share with you all soon!

Updates From The Summer So Far!

On June 26th I was honored to be included among Windy City Time's 2019 "30 Under 30" list of LGBTQ+ individuals who "Have made substantial contributions to the Chicagoland LGBT community in the fields of entertainment, politics, health, activism, academics, sports or other areas."

Check out the full list on Windy City Time's website here, or make sure to pick up a copy of the free paper from one of their various news boxes around Chicago.

This month, I've participated in a staged reading of Keyanna Khatiblou's "2020: A Going Away Party Play" as a part of Theatre on the Lake's 'In the Works' reading series at Loyola Park.

And lastly, dance rehearsals have started up for this year's Fly Honey Show, wherein I will be a part of The Hive. It's a blast to be a part of this amazing, sexy, positive, inclusive, show and I couldn't ask for a better group of people to groove out with.

You can buy tickets to The Fly Honey Show here, I'm in Week 3, if you wanna catch me specifically, but either way, the show is not to be missed!
